INTRODUCTION Background Plagiarism is a serious problem and the consequences of plagiarism acts are hazardous. The objective of this report is to introduce university student plagiarism, to determine the main causes followed by serious relevant risks affecting the plagiarizer, and to propose basic solutions and recommendations to deter plagiarizing. This report will be divided into four main sections. The first section is discussing the meaning of plagiarism and where it comes from? The second section will highlight some of the causes to the problem. Solutions for teachers and students will be proposed in the third section. The fourth section will be an evaluation to the proposed solutions in the third one. Purpose I have chosen to write about student plagiarism at university because it is a serious issue facing the students as well as the lecturers in many universities. It has an impact on the university integrity and student honesty. I hope this report will assist the instructors in minimizing this phenomenon and ensure that the...
