Online Education versus Traditional Learning

Online education and traditional education have a lot in common but they have different aspects as well. Both are great ways to get a college education and you will be able to make a decision on which one is right for you after hearing all the facts. A student may personally think online learning is a better choice for a college education because of the flexibility in schedule and the comfort and convenience of learning from home. On the other hand, some students prefer the classroom learning situation simply because they know some of the other students and feel a familiarity with a traditional college in one’s own home town.
Traditional education offers classrooms with professors that you can talk to in person where online education offers classroom instruction on your own personal computer, and your courses can be completed at home on the students own time. Depending on what type of personality you have will help in making the decision about which one is right for you. Online education is for self- motivated individuals who can take the initiative to work on his or her own time, without being informed every day from the teacher what the assignment is. Traditional education may suit an individual who prefers to ask questions as they learn, and may need a little more direction. Extroverts prefer a more social education and Introverts may prefer the online education atmosphere because you do not have to deal with other people one on one. Another reason that online education is so popular is because there is not as much discrimination in the online classroom. Discriminating factors such as age, race, physical appearance, or disabilities are not evident to the other students in an online classroom environment.
