SUMMARY, CONLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

This chapter presents the summary of findings, conclusions and recommendations made by the researchers regarding the Factors Affecting the Academic Performance of Muslim Women in College of Education.

Summary
The researchers gathered 87 respondents in which 16 respondents from BEED-Science and Health, 15 from BSE-Gen. Science, 13 BSE-Biology, 11 BSE-TLE, 9 BEED-English, 7 BSIED-Drafting, 5 BSE-Chemistry, 5 BSE-Mathematics, 3 BSE-Physics, 2 BS-HRM and 1 BSE-Mapeh respondents in College of Education. And majority of them were at the DSME in terms of year level majority of the respondents are in second year. Respondents are all single, in terms of age majority of respondents had ages 16-19 years old. With respect to respondents parent’s occupation almost were government employee. Specifically, this research study sought to find answer to the following questions. (1) What is the profile of the respondents in terms of? 1.1 Course 1.2 Year 1.3 Age1.4 Address1.5 Civil Status1.6 Parent’s Monthly Income1.7 Father’s occupation1.8 Mother’s occupation; (2) What are the common factors affecting the academic performance of the Muslim Women in the College of Education in terms of Lifestyle, Attitudes and Socialization?; (3) What are the suggestions for the improvement of the academic performance of Muslim women students in the College of Education? Findings

Out of the 87 respondents with respect to lifestyles more than half of the respondents disagree that proper wearing of combong and conservative dress and adopting the trend dress code of other affiliation did not affect their academic performance. In socializing, majority of the respondents strongly disagree in engaging relationship with opposite sex, having a number of friends, socializing with liberated women does not affect their academic performance. With respect to attitude almost of the respondents strongly agree that a good Muslim women must be a good follower according to what is stated in Qur-an and Hadith affect their academic performance.

The respondents have suggested that the first priority to improve their academic performance is to give more time properly on studying and less time to extracurricular activities. Other needed suggestion should manage time for family members, friends and study. Moreover, other they suggested is to minimize socializing others, on the other hand they suggested that avoid having relationship with opposite sex. And the last suggested by the respondents to improve their academic performance is don’t mind any problems encountered, which affect academic performance.

Conclusions
Based on the results and findings, the researchers found out that the factors affecting the academic performance of Muslim Women in College of Education is “A good Muslim woman must be a good follower according to what is stated in Qur’an and Hadith.” Majority of the respondents agreed that it affects their academic performance. This findings have something to do with the modernization in their generation, they have been threaten to do something brought by modernization which is not in accordance with what is stated in Qur’an and Hadith. They have that intention to haram; hence such intention affects their academic performance because of failure to fulfill their desire.

Every Muslim is obliged to adopt and follow what is stated in Qur’an and Hadith. Almost of the respondents think that following what is stated in Qur’an and Hadith serves as a hindrance for them in performing their academic.

Recommendations
On the basis of the conclusions drawn, the following recommended: 1. The Muslim women students should wear proper combong as part of Islam culture. 2. The Muslim women students should minimize socializing and having a number of friends to avoid bad influence. 3. The Parents of the Respondents should take action to the negative feedback of their children.
