He mentioned that some people welcomed the decision because they think that students should learn in their native language. Also, they agree because there were many student get high score in the secondary school to enroll the foundation program. However, many of them did not pass the program. On the other hand, the writers concerns about the short time that is given the university and if it is enough to get text books and reading materials, and to prepare the teacher for the new system. In this article two students from Qatar University had been interviewed about The Supreme Council of Education’s (SEC) surprise decision. The two students argue the decision from many points. They talk about the student from primary to secondary school who taught in English and who they could struggle like them when they were taught in Arabic at school and the taught in English at the university. Azmat Haroon’s article is very important. He mentions some opinion of the professor about the new change. He also interview student from both sides. Moreover, this article include a research about “Needs of English By Graduates of Qatar University in the Workplace” published in the Journal of Language, Society and Culture, Haifa A Al Buainain, Fouad Khalil Hassan and Ahmed Madani. This research shows that 77% of respondents need to use English in their work place and just 21.6% of respondents do not need to use English in their work place.

Ursula Lindsey wrote in this article about changing the teaching language to Arabic in Qatar University. He said: “many Qataris have welcomed the move as a validation of their mother tongue; others worry that it will weaken graduates ' job prospects.” (2012) He, also mentions that some student are not efficient in English so they have to spend several years in the foundation program before attending their degree. Moreover, it is mentioned in this article that the type of the text book will be affected after the new dicsion.

This article noted that the Supreme Education Council (SEC) decision is about changing the medium of instruction to Arabic for four key streams which are, media studies, law, business administration and international affairs. The decision also allows the student to be directly admitted in these streams. However, before this decision the student had to join the foundation program. In this program the students learn basic mathematics and computer skills and to be admitted in their major they had to pass the program first but many did not.
